David Gates was an original member of Bread...the best of the 'mellow' style bands in the 1970's

Jay Ferguson was in the band Spirit...

How about David Naughton with "Makin' It" and Rupert Holmes with "Escape(the Pina Colada song)"

and David Geddes with "Run Joey Run"..he also did a song about 'the blind man in the bleachers' dunno the title?

Funny you should mention them... They're Dutch, just like me. I know Mouth (real name Willem Duyn, aka Big Mouth) has died a couple of years ago. The other half, (Maggie) MacNeal (real name: Sjoukje Smit n

Rupert Holmes with "Escape(the Pina Colada song)"

Now THAT was a great song. This song was absolutely HUGE in 1979 here in Australia. Has a good story in it too.

Done some research...
Can't say that I do, but it reached #19 in Dutch charts.
Ditto - it got stuck bubbling under btw (as did Lorilee).
Repeating myself here, but these songs don't ring any bells. Two more from the bubbling under section.
Not so big overhere, reaching only #22. (If You Have To Go Away reached #26, btw)
Add The Netherlands to that list. It reached #25 overhere.
A #23 hit in Dutch Top 40.
...and a #3 hit in The Netherlands.
Anyone remember Mr. Walkie Talkie ...?  ??? Or Racing Cars ?

That's awesome that Ironhorse made it overseas.  They were so underrated in their day

Ill add another...

Angelo and Save Your Kisses For Me by Brotherhood Of Man

I know they had some other hits as well, but most people these days who were born after 1980 have no idea who they are. I absolutely LOVED both the songs Ive mentioned, especially Angelo.
