I don't know I'd say that I find the song hysterical, but Joe Jackson is unquestionably awesome.

He's always had a way with words, has Joe...
A vastly under-rated performer...should have really been in the big singer/songwriter league...

I agree, he's totally awesome. Also like Always something breaking us in two and Steppin' Out.
I attribute his sucess or less then to his looks (which is very unfortunate), he doesn't have that "movie star looks" that apparently most people in the industry assume is what people want.
I love his stuff. His piano work ranks right up there with Bruce Hornsby.

I also LOVE Joe Jackson. Is She Really Going Out With Him is brilliant...But, my all time favorite of his is his early 80's hit 'Real Men'. Those lyrics are relevent even today, unfortunately.

And I always thought it was There's something going on around here The posted lyrics make more sense now I think about it!

I used to like reading the lyrics along with the song. I thought it said the same thing before I saw the words to this one. I like the line: 'Pretty women out walking with gorillas down my street' I've seen that! LOL!!!

hmmm...that's true. I wonder then why Joe didn't get much (or at least as much) promotion as Phil? Perhaps because Steve Winwood was already extablished previously as singer to Genesis, and he's rather handsome, and since Genesis had a string of hits before ole Phil decided he wanted a solo career...
Gosh I dunno. I was just going on the model that good looks equals more promotion, as for examples I offer:
John Popper from Blues Traveler (they kept him in the shadows whilst making the video for Run-around), the same (more-or-less) with Alison Moyet, and they would deceptively film around Carnie Wilson in the videos. Or heck, maybe I'm just too sensitive to the overweight people in the industry. :P :D ;)
