Subject: Favorite of the Friday night line-up
Written By: Carl on 12/29/05 at 11:48 am
This was late 70s into the early 80s actually. The fun began at 8pm.
I was never a Dallas fan, certain episodes were interesting.
My first is the Dukes of Hazzard followed by Hulk

Gotta be the Dukes. I sometimes used to watch Dallas. Whenever my dad woudl coem down to visit, he'd always say he'd have to rush home to watch Dallas, so often at times, I'd watch it with him

Yeah, I was hooked on Dallas from the beginning. I remember watching the very first episode the very first time it aired and thought, "That was a pretty good show". But I also liked the Hulk-not because of the plot or anything but because I was madly in love with Bill Bixby. And yes, I also watched the Dukes. Why? Because it was there.

Bill Bixby was a great actor, and that show is truly one of a kind, the kind they don't make anymore.

I had a major crush on him since I can remember. I cried the day he died. :\'( :\'( :\'(

ahhhh.. same here! I was soooo in love!
Let me tell ya how bad I had it. He used to host a PBS show called "Once Upon a Classic". I used to watch it because of him-even if I have seen the episode before. And I even used my trusty old cassette record to TAPE his voice so I could listen to it if the show wasn't on. (Pre-VCR days) Yeah, I had it bad.

Dallas, then Dukes of Hazzard, and then Incredible Hulk.

Oh jeez...The Dukes, man! I still remember watching the pilot episode. My friends and I were ALL OVER that show...
Dallas, nah. I was in grade school. Strictly for adults...
The Hulk, honorable mention. The show was "baddo" in seventies kid-speak...

I think the "Love Boat"and "Fantasy Island" aired back to back on Friday nights. I never missed an episode.

"None Of The Above" would have been a good option here.
I once used "Dukes Of Hazzard" to illustrate an application of Mill's Harm Principle in a Philosophy class. The other two aren't quite as bad, but I voted for "Dallas" in a race to the bottom.

Even though our line up here in Australia was different, out of those shows I chose the Dukes. Sure, it was far fetched and not the most intelligent show on the box, but then, if I wanted reality Id watch the news. If I wanted intelectually stimulating material, Id read a book.

"Please don't make me angry...you won't like me when I'm angry!"
I haven't seen the 70's version of The Incredible Hulk since its original run, and it's one of those shows I wish they'd show again so I could see how well it stands up for me. It was kind of interesting how they took a Marvel Comics story and added a tragic spin to it. (I always liked how, after David Banner had transformed into the Hulk, and then returned to his normal state, his clothes would be tattered and he'd grab some new clothes off a clothesline but then he's always make sure to pin a $5 or $10 bill back on the clothesline.)
Having said that, it's still the Dukes by a nose for me.
