No...Thats not it.
It was more of a punkier song than the stuff the Bee Gees did.

All I can think of is Walls by Icehouse, but it was an early 80's song

It was definately a 70's song...I think I remembered how the second line of the chorus went, but Im not sure:
"Who put the writing on the wall, Does noone care at all? Who put the writing on the wall?"
I think thats how it went. I have absolutely no idea who sang it or what the name of the song is. IF it is 80's then it was 1980 at the absolute latest.

I'm with Whistledog here. Walls by Icehouse. I think it goes: "Who put the writing on the walls? Will no-one ever know?
Oh, well I don't mind the walls"
