:o OMG!!! is this the song..Shannon is gone I heard..she drifted out to sea...maybe she"ll fine an island with a shady tree???..............I used to sing that song in my den ALLLLL the time!!..LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, this is the song. For 30 years I was unaware that this song was about a dog. I have to be one of the last people to find this out. Oh well, you're never too old to learn. But now that we're on the subject, here's an interesting trivia question: What is the song, "How Long" by Ace about? I didn't know this until a couple months ago, either.
