It's a hobby of mine to make VCDs with music videos, I recently made a 3-VCD set called "Spirit of the 80s" and now I want to do a "Spirit of the 70s" so I would really appriciate any suggestions as to which videos to choose.

I guess the Searchers, the Edison Lighthouse and the Marmalade may be included in your project 'Spirit 0f the 70s.'

Hmmm, you'll probably need to go with TV show performance excerpts and concert footage. Music videos didn't really become an entity until the very late 70's.
Where do you find TV performance excerpts and concert footage? Sorry, don't know that one... :-\\
