Subject: Two great 70's R&B albums

Written By: Zoso on 12/05/05 at 2:56 am

They were both highly influencial R&B albums. So which one is best? Marvin Gaye's What's Going On or Stevie Wonder's Innervisions?

I love both. "Inner City Blues" from What's Goin On? and "Higher Ground" and "Living in the City" from Innervisions. But, if I have to choose I will pick Innervisions b/c I'm more of a Stevie fan than a Marvin fan.

Both Stevie and Marvin were great entertainers.  I picked What's Going On, as I have not really heard Innervisions

I have Innervisins on CD and  What's Going On cassette, BOTH are great, but if I had to pick, I'd say Marvin Gaye by a slighht more.

For me it's a total toss-up.  ::)  Both albums are OUTSTANDING!!!  I've probably played Innervisions more.  But I've also owned it quite a bit longer.  What's Going On is also fantastic!
