Subject: ZIP And WENDY Books

Has anyone heard of these books used in infant school. I'm convinced they were by an American author, but used in the UK either 60's/70's
The stories were about 2 little black kittens (Zip and Wendy) going on adventures ;D ;D ;D

I remember reading these and enjoyed them so much yes the were back in the 70's. Did you manage to get any. I know they still do topsy and Tim they were from the 90's. I'd luv to get zip n Wendy for my 6 year old. They used to climb on the ladder n go on roof tops. The were a great read. :)
