the choice is clear. eagles are way cool. and space: 1999 didn't have that stupid robotic dog.

I liked Space 1999. But the problem it had is that it really started to drag after a while. Most of the action seemed to concentrate on runnning through coridors. BG had a lot more action and variety in stories.

Space 1999. The effects seemes to be filmed a little better, especially the illusion of weightlesness. I also liked the general atmosphere. Although both series tended to re-use stock footage for the effects, I think B.G. was more guilty of it.

Absolutely adored space 1999! looking back though, it was pretty tacky, the set was very flimsy but I loved it!

i bet you never knew all the stuff that could be accomplished with an oscilloscope! lol. i loved the little black-and-white monitors they had everywhere. and the remote control wands with the tiny t.v./slash cameras on them. they had to take them off their belts and then point and click at doors to open and close them. they were constantly doing that. i'm like, okay, is that really so much better than just putting knobs on the doors? because from where i'm sitting, it looks like a total pain in the butt.
i think star wars ripped off (rather, paid homage) to the eagle cockpit design. what i like is they thought to put cushions on the walls, you know, for if you get buffeted around. i thought that was clever, to think of that. and then didn't the millennium falcon have the same thing going? the cushions? it always struck me as very "eagle," that design.

I loved battle star galactica! Especially the robot dog, my neighbor has a dog that has been de-barked and he sounds just like that robot dog!
