im researching the 70's for a project, and ive done ALOT of research. Ive found everything i need except:
-the salary of a job per day/year (any job, or average doesnt matter ) :)
-The cost of some daily things in the 70's (house, clothes, milk etc.) ;)
If you can, please help it would be greatly, GREATLY appreciated :D ;D

If you check some of the card shops like Hallmark, they have a stand with little booklets titled with the years on them: 1970, 1965, etc. and it has all these old advertisements of products, news headlines, and there is a section that explains the cost of living for that year.

Also, I don't know where you live, but this shop is located in the Atrium bldg, the Financial Center right across from where the twin towers were. I THINK it's Hallmark, but it's the only card shop there. I think you will find these books in most card shops anyway.

Try going to your local library. Most of them have the newspapers on microfilm (or some other media). Simply look through the paper for that era, and you will find almost anything like that you need.

I remember my father bought a 1975 Buick Centurion, which was a BIG car, brand new, for $3000!
Chocolate bars were about .50 cents and I just started smoking then and a pack cost about $1.00.....
