One of the finest slide guitarists of all-time has died......
NEW YORK (Billboard) - Foghat guitarist Rod Price died Tuesday (March 22) in Wilton, N.H., after falling in a stairway. He was 57.
The London-born artist was known as "the magician of slide" for his work with rock band Foghat. The group is best known for its 1975 No. 20 Billboard pop singles chart hit "Slow Ride," from "Fool for the City," one of the band's three platinum albums.
After exiting Foghat in 1999, Price recorded the solo albums "Open" (2002) and "West Four" (2003). The guitarist's credits also include sessions with blues legends such as Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie, and five children. A memorial service will take place Saturday (March 26) in Wilton.
