I would see Zepplin. My brother and sister actually had tickets to see Zepplin in Philly - but when Robert's son passed away - they had cancelled the show. Not sure exactly what date that was.

Sadly 1977 was their last tour of US, the tour was cut short as you said. They regrouped a year or so later, recorded 'In Through The Out Door' and didn't make it back, their final concert was July 1980 in Germany.

Thanks Gord - I could not remember the year - I was only 6 in 1977. But it does pay to have older siblings - got to see many concerts due to friends backing out!!! Of course, not Zep though.

I picked something else-go see a Broadway Show followed by seeing SNL. (I probably could have done both since SNL filmed at 11:30 and a show would have probably been over by then. ;)

]Since I was only 13 to 14 years old at the time, I saw those list of Broadway shows at the time and my favorite thing would have been to go see a still living, breathing, walking and not being in a wheelchair or etc. actor Christopher Reeve appearing in "Death Trap" (this was shortly before he was to go to Hollywood to appear in "Superman" and later "Somewhere In Time") -- that would have been very special to me -- especially since I greatly miss Reeve now that he has left this Earth. And if only to see if I could meet Reeve in person after the show?
After that I wouldn't mind going to see "Saturday Night Live"!
I would save up money for later to see Led Zeppelin in concert somewhere else. I wasn't too much into disco or would be interested in the other things going on at Studio 54.

Also a great answer, MaryMary. I wouldn't have minded checking out the Joffrey, as well. Unfortunately I'm watching Christopher Reeve on Broadway -- maybe the Joffrey would have been the second day in NYC in 1977. Okay?

I chose Zeppelin...If its for one night only, and this was my only chance to see the band...I couldnt do anything else.
Zeppelin was followed extremely closely by Studio 54. Id just love to wander the balcony and see if they really did do some of those things Ive heard about them doing up there...AND Id hope I was there on a night when some famous sexy star was there (female) and on a night when Patti La Belle, Donna Summer or some other disco star was performing.
But, like I said...If I only had one night, Id go get a bit of Led in me. Id also be taking a cam corder to tape the night...ALL of the night.

I was in CBGB in the late 70s, but I was only old enough to go to all-ages sunday matinees.
I used to sit at the door and hold people 's coats if they bought me beer.
I guess from 78-80.
In 77? I would have done the same at any age.
