Subject: Favorite Cheap Trick Song

To me, Cheap Trick is one of the more underrated rock bands of all time (of course, being a fellow midwesterner like them, I may be a bit biased).
I think most of their songs are good, especially their live stuff - I vote for one of their forgotten classics, Voices in Your Ear, off their 1979 album The Dream Police. I also like 'The Flame' and their version of Elvis's 'Don't Be Cruel', from the 80's.

I saw Cheap Trick last fall at the Nebraska State Fair, and they exceeded my already high expectations. In fact, they put on such a good show that I actually felt like I had time-warped back to 1979. :)

Cheap Trick's a great band and they just put out a new album/cd "Rockford" get it if you have'nt already it's really good IMO. oh I picked Surrender.

Saw them open for Ted Nugent in Winnipeg, Manitoba back in 1979. I bought all their albums the next week. I have been a BIG fan for nearly 30 years.

I saw Cheap Trick at the Pecatonica Fairgrounds Pecatonica,IL the 4 of July 1978
W/ Steve Dahl, The Baby's Molly Hatchet, AC/DC and Cheap Trick closed out the night
It was AWESOME....UNBELIEVEABLE......Long day on hallucinogenics
I can say the greatest concert I've ever seen. I got some great pics, the best pics are AC/DC.
They were on stage while the sun was still up and I was on the shoulders of Andre the Giant ;D
The Baby's nearly got boo'd off the stage, till they played "Isn't it time"
Then the whole crowd sang along. When the song ended, they went back to boo'ing.

Ok I guess I like em all, but Ghost Town and The Flame are great. But those are 80's for the 70's I want you to want me. I also thought their cover of Cleveland Rocks for the Drew Carey show was cute.

I'm voting for "Clock Strikes Ten" because one of Hawk the Slayer's quizzes recently reminded me of this great song.
I had it on a b-side of a single, I think it was "I Want You To Want Me", a live version from one of their shows in Japan. It's a great rock song and the energy in that live performance is just amazing.

My favorite Cheap Trick song is Big Eyes from the In Color album.
I've been a Cheap Trick fan since I was 16 and saw them twice this year. I met them at an in store meet 'n greet in June. They are one of the nicest rock bands and they treat their fans very well.
Robin Zander is still hot after all these years!

I only know the hits.
"I Want You To Want Me" by a nose ahead of "Surrender."
"Surrender" I like better as a song, but I have more of an emotional pull toward IWYTWM, not the lyrics, but the memories. "Dream Police" was always a fun concept, maybe related to Frank Zappa's "Brain Police."
