My vote is for Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo, H.E.R.B.I.E. from The Fantasic Four cartoon is annoying, ditto The Wonder Twins, and the cartoon The Super Friends!

Emergency+4...a sanitized dumbed down version of the Saturday night CLASSIC action show! I guess the cartoon bosses at NBC thought that the young kids would be freaked out by stuff that was on the nighttime show.....and many KIDS I know watched it every Saturday night...

wasnt realy a cartoon but i couldnt stand the bugaloos (uggghhh) hr puff-n-stuff was so-so but i did watch the banana splitz show alot my favorite animated cartoon was non other than SPAAAACE GHOST

BTW the first 'televised' cartoon character was FELIX THE CAT,in an NBC experimental TV broadcast in 1927!

New Tom and Jerry was utter crap.
Also, there was a cartoon called "The Three Robonic Stooges" that was really bad as well.

You guys are nuts, there WERE no bad cartoons in the 1970's. Scrappy-doo was probably the most obvious "shark jumper" of all. (Herbie from the FF, too) but compare those 70's masterpieces to the god-awful conservative garbage that passed for cartoons in the horridly confused 1980's. Please, give me a break.Even the stuff left over from the mid or late sixties (JOHNNY QUEST, SPEED RACER, THE HERCULOIDS, GALAXY TRIO, SPACE GHOST, and yes, SCOOBY DOO) fared better than those transforming, never-get-killed,stuffed animal,merchandise-selling, horribly animated, non-creative and CHEESY 80's cartoons.Uggh!!!
