Subject: Looking for a book about time travel back to Abraham Lincoln

When I was young I remember reading a book about a time traveler who went back in time to gather information about President Lincoln. He gets stuck back in time and is danger of running into himself from another time trip. I think it was called something like The Lincoln Tapes, but I cannot find anything iike it anywhere. Does anybody remember this?
