I have this tune stuck in my head and can't figure it out. I think it's from the early to mid 70's.

The hook in the chorus is ......"mansions in the sky"
If I remember correctly, it was a "upbeat" song kind of like the "mamas and the papas", etc.. but I do remember it was a harmony, not a solo on the chorus. I know it's not much to go on.....

Here's a question - based on the part of the song you know, do you think it would fall under the general category of spiritual or "Jesus Rock" that was popular in the early 70's?  Knowing that may help unravel the mystery...

I'm not sure, but very possible. For some reason, Viet Nam era music keeps falling around with it in my head. A client told me she thought it was once on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and re-made later in the 80's.
