Somebody submitted misheard lyrics for "Good Morning Starshine" with John Denver indicated as the singer. I don't remember Jonh Denver ever doing that song. Did he?

The singer of this Top 40 Hit, John Oliver, went by the stage name "Oliver".

Oliver's real name was William Oliver Swofford.  Sadly, he died in 2000.  :(

I liked the song "Jean" but never really cared for how he did "Good Morning Starshine". I guess because I was so used to listening to the soundtrack from the play Hair and liked that version better (along with Easy to Be Hard-hated how Three Dog Night did it)

I remember a while ago, 'Good Morning Starshine' was named by some magazine (i forget which one) as one of the 100 greatest Canadian songs of all time.  The song was written by Quebec born composer Galt McDermott, who wrote and composed the music for it's parent rock musical HAIR

Really? Wow, I really need to get out more often. It's not like I search for it over here, I listen to the generic Classic Rock station or mostly Podcasts these days. But there are plenty of places playing oldies (I realy hate the term!), and still you hardly hear it. The Simpsons did their tribute in one episode with Nimoy singing it.
