A few years ago I had the pleasure of meeting this group when they stayed at the hotel I was working at.  They're really nice guys.

I saw them back in the late 80's and they are coming back here this summer....I am going again :)

Many people don't care for America. I always liked them. Okay, they do have some clunky songs ("Muskrat Love" and "You Can Do Magic" come to mind) but when they're good, they're very good; just ask Janet Jackson ( ::) )

These were always my favorites (in order by year)

If any of you REALLY like this group, they have a cool DVD - America "The Best Of Musikladen Live" or "Best Of Beat Club Live" (two similar versions).  Very nice DVD!  8)

I was stuck on the Ventura Freeway last month going nowhere real slow it seemed like forever & ever,  wasting lots of gas too.  I love that song but don't like the highway/freeway!  Yeah, Don't Cross the River is an understated classic.

Hmmm, since Tin Man is one of the all time worst songs - I do however like America- #1 I Need You with Sister Golden Hair a close 2nd and then Daisy Jane. A horse with no name was too strange.

America is being taped on a PBS "Soundstage" show in less than two weeks.  I'm lucky enough to get to go to that.   ;D  WOW!!!  I can't wait!!!!    :D :D :D

"Venture Highway" is my vote. I've had it in my head for a while, Ilike it.

8) Horse With No Name...I remember a party I was at with the parents...all us kids were in the BACK of the house while the parents were drinking Tom Collins in the front.. I remember that song blaring while they were getting ready to play poker....70s....WHEW...that was a trippin time

Anybody catch the 1-hour PBS Soundstage broadcast show featuring America over the last few months?  They played all their favorites and some other gems, and brought on some guests, too.  Among the guests they had was Christopher Cross.  I LOVED it!!!!    8)

BTW I was fortunate enough to be in their audience for the taping.  FANTASTIC!!!  :D  :D  :D  (The actual show was 2 1/2 hours, but it was cut down to 1 hour for broadcast...)
