I chose "Undun" (It's spelled that that on my 45rpm) with "Share The Land" right behind....As for "American Woman"...I can put that away for a few years, along with Smoke On The Water.... :-\

I do to...ever heard the flip-side called "Broken"? I can't find it anywhere but on my old, dusty 45 :-\

I have it on "Best of Guess Who, Vol. II." They had a lot of really good stuff - one of the better 70s pop bands, altho' a bit cheesy (anyone remember "Clap for the Wolfman"? ::) )
Have to go with "Star Baby" (1974) as my fave.

They had some really great lesser known stuff: Orly, Glamour Boy, Hand Me Down World, Hang On to Your Life, Runnin' Back to Saskatoon...

I love all of these, but I picked other. My favourite is "Orly", as it's the one I seem to listen to most :)

wow, nice bump/revival of this thread whistledog.
I picked *American Woman* because it was my first Guess Who song and I stay loyal to my first.
I thoroughly enjoy *No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature*
I love *Share The Land* & *No Time* but the song I absolutely love by them is
*Do You Miss Me Darlin'?* it is played and sung with so much feeling, I just get into it. 8)

I don't see "No Time" on the list; that was one of their biggest hits. It would get my vote.

Example of irony, American Woman, an Anti-American song reaches #1 on the American charts.

that's amazing. :o Oddly enough, Lenny Kravitz's 1999 cover of that song probably didn't do well on the American charts at all. :-\\

It went to #49. Some would say that's respectable, others might not.

49? Thanks for the info. ;) I just knew that it didn't crack the top 40.

Lenny did a good job with American Woman
There are many Canadians though who will say they don't like Lenny's version of "American Woman" because it should only be sung by a Canadian (or someone not from America). Sort of makes sense, and in someways I agree, but in the end, it's all about what gets your foot tappin' 8)

Anyone notice the similarity in sound between "Undun" and B.T.O.'s song, "Looking Out For Number 1"? I guess it must've been that Bachman influence or something. Anyway the similarity struck me.

Broken was a B-side and never released on a regular studio record. It appears on greatest hits Volume 2 as noted above. One of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands.
