Subject: Shoes with skates
Does anyone know the original name for the shoes that at a click of a button turned into skates. They looked like sandals with a really thick chunky sole. I think they were also made for men in the form of sneakers.

No, but I remember a classic episode of the TV series "CHiPs", from about 1979-80, where Ponch & Jon finally caught up w/ a trio of thieves (two black men and a woman, if I remember correctly) who always used those same sandals/skates to make their getaways. Saw that very episode again in reruns on TBS or TNT about 1-2 years ago...

The trainer version are available again. I saw some kids wearing them at the park yesterday.
