In the 1970's movie Little Darlings, there is a song with the lyric, "shake it baby". It is an upbeat tune, and I remember hearing it on the radio back then, but cannot place the artist or title. Any help???

The song is on the Rhino Records CD Super Hits of the 70s Volume 25.

I tried to reach you via email to inform you that the movie "Little Darlings" is on the Women's Entertainment (formerly Romance Classics) channel tonight at 6 pm but it was returned. I hope you see this message before then. But then again they may shrink the credits to microscopic size…

It wasn't twist and shout, it went something like "shake it baby, shake it all you can tonight". Sorry, I remember other parts of the song but they don't exactly follow those lyrics. I have been trying to identify it for the past few days, after I had seen the movie and forgot to check the credits. I may just go rent the movie.

Your "mystery song" is "Shake It" by Ian Matthews, a big hit here in the U.S. in the Winter of '79. It was off his 1978 album, "Stealin' Home". Unfortunately, the album is long out-of-print, and has never been re-issued on CD here in the U.S. I have the cassette myself. BTW, in the event you do a search, nowadays he spells his first name "Iain"...
The movie "Little Darlings" is actually from 1980...
