Subject: Alien song––need title
There's asong (I think it's from the 70's) that goes
"We are strangers here on this place called Earth, we've been put on this planet to discover the worth...."
The singers used a Martian-style voice, so I expect they might have been one-hit wonders.
I need the title (or artist) so I can research it further.
Thanks,
Barry

It's called I'm a Stranger Here by The Five Man Electrical Band in from Ottawa, Canada. It was released in 1973.

Could you mean "Calling Occupants Of Interplanetary Craft?" That had a Martian style voice as part of the lyrics - "We've been observing your Earth, and we'd like to make a contact with you. We are your friends." The original was by a Canadian band called Klaatu, but The Carpenters had a quirky top 40 hit with it.
