Hey,
As a leader to preserve the PHUNK, i have heard this song somehwhere on the radio once, and it brought back such memories... Its got a jazzy funk feel to it, probably mid or late 70's. There's not much lyrics, but i remember the hook:
"Doing it in the park, doing it after dark, oh yeah, doing it awfly hard (oh yeah), doing it awfly hard"
Anyone know the name and or artist of this song? I'd kill to have it on 12", thanks!
P.S = I have a nice collection of original classics 12" if anyone is interested in TRADE....

"Rock Creek Park" by The Blackbyrds. Good jam. Check out the website www.21stcenturymusic.com or maybe it's without the st in there - all the 12 inches are available for sale.

Don't know if this helps, but I think the line/rhythm was sampled in Tone-Loc's "Loc'ed After Dark" from 1988-89. I don't know the original artist though. Sorry.
