Subject: A plea to you, 80smusicfreak
You seem to be pretty good with recollecting the music of the times. Give it a whurl. No on else would even consider it. I reeeeally would like to know this.
There was a disco song titled "Superman". It was in no way related to the motion picture. It was released by a record label called "Orange Records". The song had the typical-of-the-time Disco sex-enticed lyrics.
The chorus:
Superman. I love you Superman. Do it, do it Superman. We need you Superman.
WHO or WHAT GROUP did it, Pleeease???

One of my least favorite songs. One of the things in the beginning is a female singer (I'll call her Paula Lynde although that's not her real name) saying sarcastically, "It's Superman." (The reason I gave her the name of Paula Lynde is in honor of the man who is best known for occupying the center square on the original "Hollywood Squares," Paul Lynde, who was famous for his sarcasm.)

I appreciate your efforts, but I don't think we're thinking of the same song. The majority of the song was sung by a girl or predominantly girl group. Any idea? I'm so clueless.
