Subject: bubblegum and teen idols
Hi everyone,
I just found this site - great!!! I love the 70's - those were my teen years. I am the only person I know who loves the part of the seventies that I love - namely the bubblegum and teen idol areas. Am I alone in that passion? I'll have to try to come up with something to contribute to this site. Maybe spinning a few of my 45's will give me some ideas.
Subject: And Tiger Beat and Sixteen Magazines
I lived for my Tiger Beat Magazine subscription so I could see Donny Osmond and Shaun Cassidy. I also lived for my Mad Magazine subscription and my Dad's TV guide, which, at the time, I found worth reading every word of, every Tuesday afternoon, cover to cover.

TV Guide used to actually be decent.. the last two years though, whoa boy... it went from like 99 cents forever to like 1.79 within about a year.. and they have less now than they did when it was a buck.. I've got a huge collection of the 80s and late 70s (some 90s) and while the content of the 70s is less, it's still better than today's issues..
Subject: Speaking of TV Guide…
I still like TV Guide, but I can't see their price increases and no increases in channels listed. The last channel they added to my local TV Guide made me think, "What were they thinking?" That channel was QVC, of which 99% of the population don't give a rat's behind what's on. And staying with the subject of the thread, I bought every Bay City Rollers album between 1975 and 1979 (and their first three British albums, to boot) because I thought they would be the next Beatles. They weren't.

hehe, I bought like the first five albums by the Charlatans UK thinking they were gonna get bigger, and yet they seem to be getting progressivly less popular as time goes on..
