Subject: Looking for song name/artist of 70's song.

Written By: nickrocks on 03/22/04 at 09:28 p.m.

:)Hello, new to the site!! Luv lots of music.
Ok, this is going to be a difficult request.
I remember a song in my head. You would hear it on soft rock or oldies radio, yet i do hardly hear it, or I haven't heard it in awhile. The only info I can provide is the following info. I can almost guarantee it is from the 70's. I'd say mid 70's. It is a very slow love type song, sung by a man w/ a deep voice. I think he sounds something like Lou Rawls; I'm guessing he is black. Could be a one hit wonder. It is not 'You'll never find' either.
The only lyric I seem to think of is either 'making love to ya' and/or 'well I never' . Sorry so vague, but can you help me get it out of my head?

Perhaps something by Isaac Hayes? (Not sure if those were his lyrics) in My first, My Last My Everything?
Any other clues?
