Subject: Help with La Bamba Disco style song
I need help with this song that I heard in the 70s that sounded like The Bamba. But it was done as a disco remix and you would hear it on the radio every once in a while. It was an awesome sound. Help!

The song you are looking for IS called "La Bamba" by Antonia Rodriguez. You can find it on a great disc called Latin Disco (Thump). You can find it on jandr.com or samgoody.com :D

Glad to help. What is the other song you are looking for?

I posted the lyrics on the lyrics scroll page. It is a song that I heard in 1989 on the radio. I actually have it recorded and I play it for people and disc jockeys once in a while.
It is definitely new wave and the lead singer sounds like the lead singers from Haircut One Hundred, the Ocean Blue, New Order or Wild Swans or the La's or the Bolshoi. But I don't think it is one of those. It's probably a one hit wonder because I have asked a lot of people that know about 80s stuff and they are stumped. Check out the lyrics and if you can help, you are definitely Heaven sent. Thanks again for the other one.
