Subject: Willard - The Movie

Has anybody else caught the remake of Willard?
I jusdt saw it this weekend, and thought it was GREAT! It is something that is sadly lacking recently in "horror" movies, something to build suspense and horror, without buckets of blood being thrown all over to gross-out the audience.
It stayed fairly close to the original story (from what I remember of it, I have not seen the original in almost 20 years). And it had my favourite Gunnery Sergeant, R. Lee Ermey as Mr. Martin, the boss played by Ernest Borgnine in the original.
R. Lee played the perfect hard-assed boss. He rode and rode Willard mercilessly, then kicked him when he was down. And Crispin Glover was also a great choice as Willard. He was creepy, a loner, and played the part perfectly.
Because of the recent Michael Jackson scandal, it was even more funny to see how they included the song "Ben" in the movie. I know that the song was from the sequal "Ben" made several years after "Willard", but it was done with class, and it is a moment in movies that anybody that sees it will not soon forget.
ALso, check out the ending credits, which has Crispin Glover doing his own rendition of "Ben". It is done in a Marilyn Manson type of voice, and is equally good.
I never knew it came out, because it did not play at our local theatres. But it is available on VHS, DVD, and also on DirecTV pay per view (how I caught it). If anybody wants to check out a music-video of Crispin singing "Ben", here is the site:
