Howdy - I'm doing a project for my psychology class. We are to remember a specific time in our lives that stayed with us. I want to use Nixon's resignation. I know that is happened 8/8/74 at 9:00 pm. I think that I remember watching the CBS Movie of the Week - Duel directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Dennis Weaver but I just not sure. Are there any resources - web related, that I can use to verify that movie was playing at the time of his resignation.

I'm not really sure what was on TV before Nixon's speech, but after I looked around on the net for a while, I came across this website...

I'm not sure what CBS was showing before his speech, but according to this site, ABC started it's coverage at 6:30 and it ran until 10:30. I'd say chances are that all the stations did about the same. But then again, I could be wrong.
