Subject: MONTY PYTHONS FLYING CIRCUS
Monty Pythons Flying Circus was a hilarious show. They sure did have some wild stuff on there. They show it here and there on cable tv.

A great show. I enjoyed the dead parrot sketch and the lumberjack song. Most of the time it was very incoherent but that seemed to add something extra to the proceedings.

I always thought the series were very hit and miss though. Each show had one or two good sketches but they were interspersed with lots of dross.
The films were much better IMHO.
Not The Nine O'Clock News was much more consistent I thought

"And now for something completely different." ;) I love Monty Python. My favorite has to the Holy Grail ("We want a shrubbery.") I also like "Spam, spam, spam, spam." and of course the infamous "Lumberjack Song." I swear that all of them must have been on drugs to come up with some of their totally bizarre antics and skits.

I agree that the 70s show was a bit hit and miss but the movies were the best. All 3 are good in there own way but Life of Brian is my favourite

'Life of Brian' was certainly the most complete. 'Holy Grail' seemed to run out of puff near the end. The sketch shows had their moments but sometimes they just descended into stupidity. Along the same lines, the current British sketch comedy show we're seeing here at the moment 'The Sketch Show' isn't funny at all. What's going on there?

Life of Brian was the best 'You're not the messiah, you're a naughty, naughty boy'.
As for 'The Sketch Show' (if it features Tim Vine and Jim Tavare I know I've got the right one), it shows four awful comedians and one so-so comedian (Jim Tavare). I can well imagine it is awful because Tim Vine was last doing a quiz show called 'Whittle' and his jokes stunk and Jim Tavare flopped with his own show. The rest are unknown people that have done things in the stand-up comedy world.

Yep, that's the one. I've never seen worse 'comedy' in my life.

I agree the sketch show is DREADFUL!! there are better comedians out there so why is all can say.I was never a huge fan of Monty Python but I loved the films, the bit with death and the salmon mousse is great too !

I have to agree. It was too bizarre.
