Subject: great shampoos

i remember the lemonup shampoo by clairol. it had the most fantastic scent of lemon. the plastic yellow bottle that it came in with the top that looked like a lemon was really neat. another shampoo by clairol was herbal essence shampoo. where did THAT scent go?? they came out with another packaging of the container with many different types. the scent of the original was so much better & did a much better job for the hair. i wish they would bring both of these shampoos back!!!!!

Until you said it, I had forgotten all about LemonUp. I remember my brother chucking one of those lemon-caps at me and smacking me right in the eye. It did smell awesome, though! ;D

Mindy, they DO still make the same original green herbal essence shampoo, but it's a bit hard to find. I got mine a few months ago at a gourmet grocery store. The package and the heavenly scent are still the same! HOWEVER, I mainly bought it just to look at and sniff (stop laughing), because it's not a really great shampoo. It leaves my hair sticky and crunchy, and even slathering on a conditioner (which, sadly, will mask that famous scent) afterwards, it doesn't help. But that's just me. Take a look around at smaller stores (chain drugstores don't seem to carry it anymore) and pick one up just for nostalgia! ;) I wish they made a perfume or cologne with the same smell!!

I loved Lemon Up, it was my favorite shampoo. I wish they would make it again, it got my hair squeaky clean and it smelled great too. I also used the Herbal Essence, and many others also. I switched around often for a change of pace but would always come back to the Lemon Up.

How about the shampoo, "Body On Tap." It had real beer in it. That was a great shampoo. Too bad it never made a comback.

"But don't drink it, just shampoo!" is how that Body on Tap commercial went. I bet a few people drank it anyway. :P
I really REALLY loved the retardedly-named yet amazing-smelling Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific! shampoo and conditioner. I've missed it for years, and found geeyourhairsmellsterrific.com where they claim you can still order it. :D
