Hey do you remember Slime - the green goo that came in the little plastic garbage can?  It was cold and blubbery, like something left in the wake of the Blob.  I even remember the smell of it.  They had at least one variation of it - there was a version that included little 3 or 4-inch rubber worms embedded throughout the Slime, and you'd get to pull them out.  I think the worms were purple.  Anyway...

Oh yeah! I sure do remember Slime!! I thought it was the coolest thing ever...they never had cool stuff like that when I was a kid so I went WAY overboard with it. I almost always had some with me...and I learned some lessons as well:

1) It didn't really come out of carpets well.
2) It didn't taste all that great
3) It got really oily in the hot sun
4) It made your hands stink for hours

and most importantly

5) Girls really didn't want to find it in their purses...

Oh man, what memories you have conjured up for me!! I'm gonna be giggling all night now!! ;D

And don't forget the 'Slime Monster' game, where you moved your little plastic people as this big green monster drooled Slime all over rthe board as he slowly wandered around! (Aided by the other players of course.)

I remember slime. I had some. Yes, I remember that it didn't come out of things. I was very good with it and TRIED not to get it on something that it wouldn't come out of-but I think once in a while, I did have a OOPS!

I remember my brother and I begging my parents to get us some Slime for Christmas... '75 or '76, I think.

It smelled like mimeograph ink.  Yummy... chemical lemon-lime...  

I remember slime ! What a mess ! But lots of fun.

Yes, I remember slime. My brother loved it. There was also a "Slime with Eyeballs" version.

I remeber at the time of slime reading a press release that it was the best selling non-advertised item of it's day.  Word of mouth was a great selling point to it, of course is one kid brought it in to class, everyone had to have it.

I remember slime.  My grandmother got it for my cousin and I when it first came out.  My cousin dropped her slime on the carpet. She went to go wash it and then she dried it on my grandmother's white towel.  The slime stuck right to the towel.  It was a real mess.  We loved it though!!!!!  Thank God grandma wasn't upset!!!!!

I used to pretend to use it as snot from my nose.I thought this was a good gag. :D ;D

It was my second favorite toy for that year! (I just can't remember what was my #1 Favorite?)

Man I too did nearly everything with that crap!

I put on our Family Poodle, it got all nasty and MATTED in his hair.  

I (on many occasions) left some in my jeans and it got washed!! (OH man the BEATINGS!)

I put it in my Dad's 1977 For Thunderbird Heritage Edition's Ash Tray.

I aslo did the fake Snot thing too!

For those of you that still jones for the legendary GREEN stuff then goto Ebay and select toys and hobbies and search under "Harry Potter Slime"  Its used again in this game!!  The same exact stuff!  

My friend's Kid just got it for his birthday 3 months ago.  Its amazing.  

Myself and my Friend were playing with it more then his kid!

I wasn't allowed to have any slime :(

I abandoned my Lite-Brite and Play-Doh set when I got "Slime Worms"   :D

Grossing out the girls at school became a prime directive for a short while there.  Mwahaha...!! <evil laughter>

Yeah! My brother had a can of Slime. I always poked in it a certain way to get the farting noises - funny as heck!

I loved slime.  You had to be careful not to drop it on the carpeting.  I liked when you put your hand into the can and it would make a "Fart" sound.  That was neat.
