Subject: chewy mint candy- can't remember the name
Does anyone remember a chewy mint flavored candy from the late 70's/early 80's. I was square and a lot like a starburst except it was a mint flavor. It is driving me crazy trying to remember.

I don't remember a mint flavored candy, but I do remember "Freshen-up" gum...it had a liquid center, and it was square, could this be what you're thinking about?

That would have been my answer. It would "squirt" in your mouth with the liquid center.

Are you thinking of MoJo's? We had them here in Canada and they were like Starburst but chewy...there was mint, chocolate and fruit flavours that I remember...the mint was my favourite.

This name doesn't ring a bell Gis. Remember the sweet but not that name. The name Pacers has popped into my head.
Subject: Re: chewy mint candy- can't remember the name
Yep! Definately called Pacers, Karen..remember them well!
I would've imagined they were made by whoever made Opal Fruits (or whatever they're called now) at the time...
Subject: Re: chewy mint candy- can't remember the name
That'd be Starburst now...
I can't for the life of me remember who made them, though.
