Subject: Ray Bradbury or Something Like It

Does anybody remember watching Ray Bradbury movies in the 80s? I am trying to remember some sort of scifi movie kinda like Twilight zone but I don't think it was.I have posted this question before but maybe now somebody new remembers it.It could possibly be a late 70s movie. Anyways I remember the opening sequence had the world spinning in outerspace and there was some kind of voice over. I remember Amazing Stories had a book so I don't think it was that show or movie. One of the stories in the movie had these people trapped in a house and there was this ooze or goo seeping in. In the end you find out the people are trapped in a dollhouse in a spaceship and the humans are the dolls in the aliens dollhouse and the alien left like a popsicle and it was melting and seeping into the house.

I think there was actually a "new" series of Twilight Zone made in the 80s, so you are probably remembering that.
As a matter of fact, someone some time ago asked a question about that exact expisode you described, but stuffed if I can find that thread now...

If you want the movie "Savannah Smiles", wouldn't it be a heck of a lot cheaper to find a video store that has it, rent it out and tape it off?

Are you thinking of the movie "Something Wicked This Way Comes?" There was also a series of Ray Bradbury's work. I really can't remember the name of it. I remember one (I think) called "The Crowd." It was about the crowd that appears whenever there is an accident. At the end, you discover that the accident victim becames part of the "crowd."

I'm not sure, but there was an episode of The Twilight Zone where a man and a woman were trapped in a house, and it turns out they were "dolls" to an alien girl. But the "ooze" doesn't ring a bell.
Stopover in a Quiet Town (April 24, 1964)
Written by Earl Hamner, Jr.
Directed by Ronald Winston
Featuring Barry Nelson and Nancy Malone
A married couple wake up with a hangover in a most unusual house. The town outside is devoid of any people, and then cannot find any way to escape. They start to hear the laugh of a little girl, then that little girl reaches down and picks them up as they are now the dolls of a giant alien.

As I remember, HBO ran the "Ray Bradbury Theater" probably mid 80ish. It came out a lot like the Twilight Zone though.
But, definitely the best one was the adaptation of Ray's short story "The Coffin." This one was about two brothers who rather disliked each other. The one brother was an eccentric inventor type who was working on a top secret project (which was the coffin). That brother eventually dies and the other brother finally gets to look into what his brother was working on. He finds the coffin and finds instructions on what to do with it. Thinking its some sort of joke he follows the instructions and lays down in the coffin. The coffin turns out to be a sophistocated trap specifically designedto kill him. The coffin automatically closes up on him and automatically digs a grave and buries him alive. It was a totally twisted and freaky story 8)
