In high school, I was basically an angel with horns. I was a good enough kid that I could get away with a lot. I used to skip a lot and I got caught smoking I don't know how many times. But, believe it or not, I never served detention. One time I walked into the principal's office and asked him if I could light up a cigerette. He even gave me a light. I couldn't believe that. Of course that was after school.

Well, it wasn't me, but my older brother got into deep trouble with a nun. She accused him of cheating on a book report and my dad said to my mom (when she told him) that the nun could go to He!!. My brother went into school and when the nun asked him why he didn't redo the report, he told her "Well, my dad said you can go to He!!. I'm not doing no God Da(rn)ed report over!" I was really too young in the 70's to get into trouble. Now the 80's, that was a different story...

I'm embarrassed about it to this very day....
Myself and some other kids were walking past a classroom where German was being taught, some german words came wafting out the door....
In a fit of stupidity, I yelled out "Achtung"
The teached promptly came out and grabbed David Mundy and hauled him up to the office, where he got the cane.....
I wanted to own up to it, but I couldn't....why David Mundy didn't beat the s*it outta me the next time he saw me I will never know....

I stole a teachers car at recess and drove it around the parking lot with my brother and some of our friends. We parked it back in the same place butwe got caught because everyone was talking about it . I must have really been a bad kid because I have lots of stories as bad or worse then this one. Never hurt anyone but we sure did laugh alot

most of the times,I got into fights myself and people picked on me.bullies thought I was a wussy. :(

I got the cane when I was 9 or 10.
It was a revolting hot day - I lived in a town that holds most Australian heat records. This day it was 49 or 50 degrees celcius (my farenhiet conversion only goes to 45 ! so I'm guessing roughly 120F).
So at lunchtime my friends and I walked down to the school footy field and played under the big "walking" sprinklers.
We were drenched when we heard the siren go and we got back to class late and soaking wet.
We were sent to the headmaster and he gave us 6 strokes across the butt each. I must say - a bamboo cane hurts that much more when you are already wet !! And we had to stand outside his office every recess and lunchtime for a whole week.
So while I wouldnt say it was the worst thing I ever did - it was the worst punishment I ever got for something I personally didnt feel was warranting punishment !! Specially since these days kids can walk out and go home if the temp goes over 40.

Once upon a time, there was a German class. And in this German class, there was an awful German teacher who could barely teach anything. But nearly everyone in the class got good grades because also in the class there was a boy named Kenny who was basically supporting everybody by letting them read every answer off his tests.

I didn't participate in this one, but I watched. On the day we had our group senior picture taken the football team and the wrestling team went to the parking lot (the small one, of course) and picked up a bunch of cars. They moved them around so that no one could leave unless one car left. Of course the car that could leave was the kid that usually stayed after. ;D

The coolest bad thing in high school (saw it, didn't participate) was when four or five football players turned a teacher's compact car upside down. Left it in the same parking spot, though.

I cheated on tests sometimes.Remember those times when you needed an answer quickly and you wrote it either on your shoe or hand.I would get away with it. :D

And I bet that boy named Kenny was you. I can just hear it now: "OMG, they whipped Kenny!".

When I skipped class, I used to have a beer or two and then go back to school. I had (and still have) very low tolerence so one beer would get me very tipsy. I don't know how many times I sat in my history class feeling no pain. I used to sit in the front of the room, facing the door. Whenever I would see a friend of mine walk by, I would wave to them. The teacher would always be turning my head to the front of the class because I was talking to girl behind me. Yes, I had a lot of fun.

I was a good kid in school....but..when I was a senior some boys made a sculpture of the principle and put it on the lawn of the school. Not bad, you say? They made him naked..and the street it faced gets busy before school. LOLOL I forgot to bring my camera that day. Needless to say, it wasn't up for long and was destroyed. Made for a fun senior week.
Later that week another senior let off an M80 firecracker in an empty locker...across from the principles office. That one I have a picture of....blew the hell out of the back.
But, I was good. ;D

No FussB - believe it or not Marble Bars "legend" as the hottest place in the world is more Urban than Fact.
It holds a few records but the town I lived in from 74 to 79 holds way more. Paraburdoo.
In comparison with Marble Bar which tends to get the record for "one day" temperature records, Para gets the "days in a row" records. For example Para holds the record for the most amount of nights in a row over 33 degrees (like more than a month in a row !!!) and the most amount of days in a row over 40 degrees etc etc. I had a great book where they were all listed but its gone walkabout now that I actually want it !!
Para was a marvelous little town - privately owned by Hamersley Iron - so the rents were $2 a week and the school was airconditioned - as was every house - and electricity was free. It was where we ran our first DriveIn. It was where I lived thru my first 6 cyclones and my first 5 earthquakes measuring over 6 on the Richter - of course being out in the middle of no where - there was nothing to be destroyed !! So it was extremely cool to be standing in a street that was actually swaying like a dingy on a river !!
I loved the school (well of course except for when I got the cane !!!!!!!!!).

The worse thing I ever did in school in the 70's was....
When I was in the 4th grade I cut off a girls ponytail cause she made fun of me. I grabbed some shears off of the teachers desk while we were lining up to go outside & stood right behind her in line & cut it off! It was bad. I was in private school & almost got kicked out. Her name was Tina and I had to wrote on the chalkboard 100 times "I am sorry that I cut Tina's hair". Needless to say, I never got in trouble again in Elementary school. But when I switched to public school in the 10th grade.......oh my...I was BAD! But we won't go there!
