Subject: HR Puffenstuff, etc.
This show was produced by Sid and Marty Croft, along with other great shows like Sigmund and the Seamonsters (my personal favorite), the Bugaloos, Lost in Space, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl...
A few years ago, some station had two days of Sid and Marty Croft shows - they called it "Puffapalooza". I recorded all of it, and as my roommates and I watched it, we all wondered how we came out so normal watching shows and reading books that are all probably machinations from some peoples' acid trips...
Subject: Re: HR Puffenstuff, etc.
Wait, you forgot "Lidsville". Now that had to be done while tripping or flashing back ;D
Subject: Re: HR Puffenstuff, etc.
I just picked up a Sid & Marty Krofft "Best of" type of DVD.
It had H.R. Puffenstuff, Lidsville, Sigmond & the Sea Monsters, Bigfoot & Wildboy, Electra Woman & Dynagirl, Wonderbug, Magic Mongo, The Bugaloos and a lot more. I'm sure you could find this at Amazon or the like.
It really brought back a lot of memories.
I had forgotten about the shampoo river! That was a good one!

Looking for a little help locating a few episodes of Lidsville?
Subject: Re: HR Puffenstuff, etc.
I confess, I used to watch all of those (except for H.R. Puffenstuff). Lidsville was my favorite. If I am not mistaken, I think the kid who played Marc in that was also Eddie from the "Munsters."

Wasn't there also a similar show called "The New Zoo Review" with Henrietta Hippo and some big foamy green frog?
Subject: Re: HR Puffenstuff, etc.
as far as i know the new zoo review was not a Krofft special.. just a kids show. i just recently went down amnesia lane for Krofft and had found a website with theme songs from several shows of the 70's http://dt.prohosting.com/70s/childtv/childtv.html
enjoy

I remember that one. There were three of them but Henrietta was the only one that I remember.

Lost in Space. . ? Do you mean Land of the Lost? ("Lost In Space" was actually an Irwin Allen production.)
BTW-- "Puffapalooza" was aired on Nickelodeon. I still have my T-shirt! :)

I loved HR Puffenstuff. I had a crush on Jack Wild. I also loved the show The Double Deckers. Does anyone remember the saturday morning show with the Bay City Rollers. Those were the days when saturday mornings were spent in front of the tv watching a long line up of cartoons and childrens shows. My children can't believe that we didn't have Nickalodeon (sp?) and cartoon network.

I am not sure but it does sound familiar. I loved the Bay City Rollers and I still listen to them. Shhhhh, doen't tell anyone, lol.

Hello! Shang-A-Lang was the name of their UK television series, well before they hosted the Krofft Superstar Hour taped in California. According to this http://www.geocities.com/qm4/KrofftSupershow.html (Krofft fansite), it was on for a year, but I don't think it was. There weren't very many episodes. (Later renamed the Bay City Rollers Show?) They didn't want to do it, and they talked about it on a VH1:Behind The (Scenes?) episode a few years ago. Old topic, I know. This is what came up during a websearch for something else. I vaguely remember getting up at 6:00 a.m. to watch it.
