Subject: Favorite songs by The Eagles
The Eagles have long been a favorite band of mine. I heard them so much while I was growing up and I still enjoy listening to them now. What are your favorite songs by them? :)
I have many but I'll just list a few of them (in no particular order):
"Desperado"
"Take It To The Limit"

James Dean and Midnight Flyer.......
Subject: Re: Favorite songs by The Eagles
All of the above.I have to say Hotel California is probably my all time favorite.I've loved that song right from the first time I heard it when I was knee high to a grasshopper as they say!
Subject: Re: Favorite songs by The Eagles
Well, first off let me have a Tequilla Sunrise...Followed by some Lyin' Eyes but Take It Easy because you wil definately get the Best Of My Love and end up with a Peaceful, Easy Feeling although I Can't Tell You Why except for the fact that I'm The New Kid In Town here at the Hotel California you know where I mean? It's right next to The Sad Cafe where I have Already Gone So instead of being a Victim Of Love could you Please Come Home For Christmas because it's going to be a Funky New Year here On The Border with your own personal Desperado Who, by wearing Those Shoes was destined One Of These Nights to become the King Of Hollywood And now will Take It To The Limit Oops, I already have :D

They picked Colorado Springs (Where I live) to do thier only concert this fall! It was last week but I couldn't go :( I also read that Don Felder is out...they had some sort of disagreement. Oh well, I still wish I could've seen them.

I always considered the Eagles kind of overrated. It's funny... before the release of Hotel California, the critics hated the Eagles, but after Hotel Cali it was all like "oh my god they're the greatest classic rock band ever!" Personally, my favorite songs from them are "Hotel California," "New Kid in Town," and "Take It Easy." And I gotta admit, Hotel Calfornia is a great album.

Whaaaaaaaat?!?!? Dayum Kenny, I usually agree with you, and you know your music, but on this one we're knockin' heads. Critics be damned, IMHO the Eagles were, are, and will be one of the greatest bands ever. I'm not gonna argue my reasoning, and to each his own, it just surprises me that you think their overrated. As for your thread Ceramics Fanatic, theres no way I could pick even a few favorites. they've never done a song I didn't think was great.
Subject: Re: Favorite songs by The Eagles
I never said I completely agreed with the critics. The critics were needlessly cruel to this band in the early days. I do like a lot of their stuff, but some of their other (mostly the super-soft stuff like "One of These Nights," "Best of My Love," "Peaceful Easy Feeling") put me to sleep.

8 out of 10 critics are frustrated musicians that couldn't cut it in the game so they call themselves professionals at something thats just a matter of opinion anyway. Buncha wannabes. Just like sportswriters. 75% of them are wannabe jocks that no one would pick on their side when they were the little scrawny kids, so now they profess to know " all there is to know" about something they've never experienced. Damn I promised myself I wouldn't do this.... >:( ??? ::)

The 7 Bridges Road (I was on a lonely highway in southern Alabama and saw a sign that said 7 bridges, think it could be from the song?)

Well said RockandRollFan.
I'm not a huge Eagle's fan but a few of their songs, I love. They are:
Witchy Woman
Take It Easy
Desperado
Hotel California
Life In The Fast Lane
I don't think there would be one artist on the planet that I could make a "they suck" statement about. In every genre of music there's always something good! IMO of course. :)

Fred this is Rich again, and I love "Love Will Keep Us Alive", because that is a song that describes my love for my wife Deidra. I am sorry I am talking about her a lot, but I just can't help it. I love her more than words can say. I like "I can't Tell you Why", and "Hotel California", and many other ones.
