Subject: ANYONE LIKE VAN MORRISON?
Okay, I am totally obsessed with Cat Stevens but I love other artists, even if I don't obsess over them. And one of them is Van Morrison. How do you folks like him?. I think he is awesome.
My favorites by Van are "Stone Me" and "Into The Mystic".
Love,
A'isha

I take it you've already heard Light My Fire by William Young? He was the British Pop Idol 2002, and released Evergreen and Anything is Possible as his first single, and is releasing this monstrosity of a cover as his next.

I like Van Morrison more than Jim Morrison. In my Opinion Jim Morrison was an Idiot. My Favorite Van Morrison songs are Domino and Moondance.

Van Morrison is very talented, I own several of his CDs. The Mystic is a great tune.

Growing up I had never really heard anything by Van Morrison other than "Brown-Eyed Girl". Then not too long ago a friend turned me onto Van's music and now I really like it. "Brown-Eyed Girl" will probably always be my favorite, but "Into The Mystic" is also excellent! :)

Van Morrison is fantastic! I've been a fan of his music since one of my brothers turned me on to him in the late 70s.
Some of my favorite tunes:
"Into the Mystic"
"Bright Side of the Road"
"Full Force Gale"
"Wild Night" - later covered by John Mellencamp

I remember a Van Morrison tune from the 70's called Wavelength or something close to that. Am I imagining that? I never see any albums with that song on it at any record store.

Are you kidding?
VAN'S THE MAN!!
(I've been hooked since I learned the sax lick from "Domino" in the first garage band I was ever in.)

;D Van Morrison is a GOD!!! He is a musical genius and I would die a happy, happy girl if I got to see him perform live just once!!!

Moondance is my favorite. It's a mix of jazz and rock and roll.

Moondance. I love that song. I once choragraphed a dance to that. Now, everytime I hear it, I feel like I have to get up and do my dance (even though I can't remember all the choragraphy).

Van re-did Moondance on his live How Long Has This Been Going On. It sounds so different. Maybe I'm just too use to the original.

I've been listening to Van Morrison since I started walking :) My mom's a fan. I just love his stuff. My favorites from him are Into The Mystic, Brown-eyed Girl, Moondance, and Baby Please Don't Go.

I have friend called Hugo McGill who many years ago was well known around the clubs of Ireland. Before making it big Van used to turn up at his gigs and ask if he could jump up on stage and play with them. Hugo was once asked to front a, then unknown, band called THIN LIZZY. He turned them down as he was doing alright and they got Phil Lynott instead.Eric Bell left Thin Lizzy after 'Whiskey in the jar' and it was Hugo who brought him over and introduced him to English audiences.
