Will be doing the public address at a high school swim meet a few weeks from now.  Can anyone come up with song ideas that are swim related (i.e. Splish Splash - Bobby Darin, S-W-I-M - Bobby Freeman, Kicks - Paul Revere, Every Breath You Take - Police, Stroke- Bill Squier) that I can use to pump up the excitement?  Any responses will be greatly appreciated!  Thanks again!  ???

I can't help thinking where were you when I used to be a competitive swimmer?  Even at Provincials, all I can remember the announcer ever doing was calling event numbers and heats, and announcing results - no cool music, nothing to pump us up!

I can't think of any "swimming" songs off the top of my head, but I'll be pondering it tonight at my meeting, and I'll get back to you if I come up with anything.

I too was in the a swim club, but like Mystery_Woman the announcers at my meets only announced heats and times....I wish we had music to get us pumped...my suggestions?

For something upbeat try "Dive In The Pool" by Barry Harris feat. Pepper Mashay (Nervous Records).  Mostly instrumental; Pepper has some dialog about diving in the pool on the dropouts that build up to a drum roll..."LET'S GET SOAKIN' WET!!!" then explodes into a pounding house track.

I've had the original mixes for awhile, just picked up the "Soakin' Wet" Remixes...
