Subject: Re: food list--some are alive and well!
I do know that we have Manwich, Tab, and Pop Rocks...but I never even knew there was a Grape Tang! That would be interesting to try! ;D

Munchos? OMG, I used to love those! It must have been 20 or so years ago that I last had them, but they were the strangest, tastiest and most interesting potato chip I've ever eaten! LOL!
Subject: Re: food list--some are alive and well!
Oh duh! I don't know why it didn't register before, but I DO know what Muncho's are and we still have them here. They're soooo good! :D

We have Manwich in Vancouver...
"A sandwich is a sandwich, but a Manwich is a MEAL!" :)
I eat it a couple of times a month. It's quick, cheap and easy. And speaking of that... :-X
Subject: Re: food list--some are alive and well!
Where in Vancouver can I find this? I've never seen it...hmmmmm....gonna have to search my local Safeway tonight....

I shop primarily at Superstore, and buy it there sometimes. There is another brand, whose name escapes me at the moment, that is actually cheaper. It's pretty much the same stuff, though.
If all else fails, let me know, and I'll cook you dinner sometime!

But of course! :)
I like that you call it Stupidstore. Some people look at me strange when I say that I'm going shopping at Stupidstore, so I try to use the real name when I describe it to people I don't know well.
Subject: Re: food list--some are alive and well!
I'll bring the PopRox!
I don't think I know anybody that doesn't call it the Stupidstore....Heheeee.....
Subject: Re: food list--some are alive and well!
Well, Bugles are back as I've said before but no Daisys and whatever the cheese ones were.Anyone remember "Whip 'n' Chill"? But I am grateful for Bugles. But I guess Kraft Thousand Island dressing in the jar that was so thick it had to be spooned out and American Beauty Dumplets Dinners {my kids' favorite} are gone forever.

We have all that here in lil'ol' Ohio. ;)
Muncho's are potato CRISPS... ;)
Tang is disgusting! Tastes like baby asprin!! LOL
We have Goobers around my town, but I am not sure I wanna eat them. ;D
Manwich is what my mom made when we had no money for real food. ::) But ours usually came in a black and white can??-LOL
Which reminds me...
Remember going to the store, back in the day, when there was the isle of generic food? Everything was simply labled and in B&W..ie, Grape Jelly, Flakes, Oats, puffed corn!! UGH!!! I HATED going down that isle with my parents! :D

And to prove that Munchos are still around, I just came back from the store with a bag of them… ;D
Subject: Re: food list--some are alive and well!
Of course, I'm English, so unless anyone can come up with any evidence otherwise, I'll have never heard of Muncho's or anything else you speak of. How unfortunate.
Subject: Re: food list--some are alive and well!
We have all of those foods here in Texas(or at least where I am at) except grape tang, and we call manwich sloppy joes here. Also Bugles never left around this area.We don't have the B/W aisle here, now they are yellow cans called shurfresh.

You just reminded me of something else....
I used to get "Jordan Almonds" at the movie theatre (my favorite movie theatre candy, BTW) and now they don't carry them anymore. As a matter of fact, the ONLY place I've been able to find them at all anymore is "Ames" department store in their candy section. Go figure. :-/

It is once again available here in Charleston, WV in six-packs. I thought they took it off the market in favor of diet Coke! After all, Tab was the original diet Coke! Man, I haven't seen it in ages until now!

I remember in the early '90's seeing "Clear Tab", without the caramel coloring in St. Louis. Don't know if it was a test market or what. I guess it didn't catch on.

I never saw it, but I'm sure it probably didn't make it for the same reasons Pepsi Clear didn't. Sometimes, people hate change, I guess.

I thought the Snickers Munch peanut brittle bar was kaputt, but it's in our building's vending machines. ;D
Subject: Re: food list--some are alive and well!
Ok ,this may be a bit of a long shot but what about cola flavoured jelly(jello)?? I used to love it you can't get it in the U.K anymore :(
Subject: Re: food list--some are alive and well!
I personally think 'Funyons' are just about the scariest snack food around. Are those from the 70s?
Subject: Re: food list--some are alive and well!
There's this candy that's still around:
-LICK a MIX.
you dip your candy coated stick and dip it in three flavors, cherry, lemon and grape.I don't know if this would be considered food.maybe? -howard- :)
Subject: Re: food list--some are alive and well!
I'm trying to remember the name of the little coconut flavored pies that were yellowish in color that were around in the 70's.
