Big Lots, sellers of cheap stuff, have thrown themselves on their sword and filed for a chapter 11 bankruptcy. 400 stores will be closing soon.

A bidder has emerged to buy the rest of the enterprise, likely at a steep discount.
Man,it seems like all the cool retailers are on the skids lately. :-\\

They just announced that they’re closing the Big Lots near where I live. :\'(
I always wanted to go in there to see what they had for sale, but I guess that’s not gonna happen now.

It is finished. Big Lots has announced that they’re shutting down ALL of their stores and going out of business, as a deal to sell the business to an investment firm fell through. :\'(

At the last minute a “white knight investor” has come along to buy up Big Lots and keep hundreds of stores open. :)
