Subject: Live-action Zelda movie announced by Nintendo
Written By: batfan2005 on 11/08/23 at 7:39 am
Finally! I've always thought one with a story based on Ocarina of Time could have been made, directed by Peter Jackson to look similar to the LOTR series, and cast Lindsay Lohan as Princess Zelda. This was my idea back about 20 years ago. Anyhow no details have been released yet including when it will be released, but it will be directed by Wes Ball who directed the Maze Runner trilogy. It will also be produced by Shigeru Miyamoto who is best known for creating the Super Mario and Zelda franchises for Nintendo, and now is an ideal time after the success of the recent Super Mario Bros movie.

It seems that they're turning video games into films, have they said anything about A Donkey Kong film in the making? ???

They have been more successful recently, like with the Super Mario Bros. (as opposed to the one from 30 years ago) or the streaming series The Last of Us. It wouldn't surprise me if they made a Donkey Kong movie, or Star Fox. I also see potentials for Call of Duty films. There is a Metal Gear Solid movie in the works.

I think I remember The Super Mario Brothers Supershow with Captain Lou Albano from 1989 on Channel 5 here in New York and that was based on the video game, they must've been capitalizing on the Nintendo craze at the time.

I remember that too. They also had The Legend of Zelda cartoons on Fridays. Then in 1990 there was Club Mario, which featured the same cartoon but with different hosts, not Mario and Luigi. And then there was The Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3 as well as Captain N: The Game Master. The funny thing about Club Mario is I remember waking up early before school the watch it, and the funny part is before that came on was a televangelism show called Success 'N Life with televangelist Robert Tilton, lol.
