Subject: I Can See a Movie Coming Out of This

Written By: LyricBoy on 09/07/23 at 6:19 pm

Coming to a theatre near you… the blockbuster comedy/disaster film, Diarrhoea Plane.

This NY Post article has all the details of this real-life air disaster.

https://nypost.com/2023/09/07/passengers-onboard-diarrhea-plane-share-ordeal/

Apparently the sludge was all down the main aisle, as this photo shows:

https://nypost.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2023/09/NYPICHPDPICT000030254299.jpg

Said one passenger:

“It was dribbled down the aisle, smelled horrible,” one person tweeted of their partner’s disgusting experience on the flight.

“It was pretty bad … The vanilla-scented disinfectant used on it only made it smell like vanilla s**t,” Dee W. wrote on X, the new name for Twitter.

They should call it "Diarrhea on a Plane", a take on the title "Snakes on a Plane".

Alternative titles could include:

Diarrhoea Down
Call of Doody

And there’s a ready made theme song already. Roll credits…

You would need actors and actresses to portray in this film.

Delta. I'm surprised it wasn't Frontier or Spirit. JetBlue is the only airline I will fly these days. But I don't know if I will ever get on another plane and I am not disappointed. I hate flying.

I seriously doubt I will ever set foot on a plane again. I have no "fear of flying" per se, it's just all the aggravation that now goes with it. And the new normal of people acting in rude, crude and abhorrent ways (although I'm sure poor diarrhea-man couldn't help himself). I'm old enough to remember when air travel was groovy. In the times before it was deregulated by Ronald Reagan.

Yup. Since the deregulation, it has been a race to the bottom. Seats are getting smaller. And everything now has an added fee-check bags, food, pillow/blanket, if you want to sit next to your travel companion. Yeah, that is now a thing that you have to pay to sit next to each other. And don't get me started with TSA which is a joke.

I don't blame you, I haven't been on a plane in so many years, I don't think I will ever get on a plane ever again with all the stuff that goes on inside them.

The Airline Deregulation Act was introduced to the Congress by Howard Cannon, the Democratic Senator from Nevada. And it was signed into law on October 24, 1978 by President Jimmy Carter.

I just finished a two-leg plane ride today.

Fortunately there was no diarrhoea in the aisles.

When I took my vacation to Germany earlier this year, I flew Scandinavian Airlines from Chicago to Copenhagen on the second leg of my journey (and from Stockholm to Chicago on the return trip). And it was still kind of groovy. The interior of the plane (which was an Airbus A350) was very modern and comfortable and luxurious and looked as if it had been designed by IKEA, and the inflight meal was very good. Every seat had a modern touch screen TV in front of it, and the coolest thing about it IMO was that you could scroll to these external cameras mounted on the tail and the underside of the plane so you could get an outside view while it was in flight. There was also another screen you could scroll to that had a map with the flight plan and showed the position of the plane, as well as an ETA for arrival.

It was really cool watching the plane take off and land on the screen, although I couldn't help but think that it would have been horrifying if one of the engines caught on fire or something like that while I was watching it on the screen.

I do agree with you about trying to negotiate the labyrinth of a major airport though. It can be rather stressful trying to get across the airport so you can catch your flights on time. Frankfurt International was very confusing and it seemed almost like sheer luck that I managed to get on the right plane in time for my first flight back home.

On the other hand, I love coming home to the airport in Omaha. You don't have to worry about trying to find a train that goes from one terminal to the other or anything like that. You just get off the plane, go out of the gate and up to the baggage claim, grab your bags, and walk out the front door.  8)

I'm sure the ratings would be in the toilet, something that this highly unlucky individual missed  ;D

Our "home airport" is Burlington. As much as I hate flying, I don't mind so much flying in and out of there. It is small enough that you won't get lost. They only have 2 terminals.

One time my SIL & FIL flew into a local regional airport. They only had 3 flights a day. When SIL sent us the info, she included the airline, the flight number, & time. I guess she didn't realize that she only needed the time. When we got to airport, it was about 15 minutes-half hour before their flight got in. I said to Carlos that we should have had a sign. The guy who worked there (yes, there was only one) gave us a piece a paper. He asked if we wanted 4 to tape together to make a big sign. I said that one piece is enough. I wrote on paper in big letters, " :-X :-X :-X Party" (writing out our last name since SIL & FIL had the same last name.) There may have been a couple of people waiting like we were. When all about 10 people got off the plane, we held up that piece of paper. SIL came up to us and said, "Wise ass."  ;D ;D ;D
