BK has been struggling of late. Their “You Rule!” Campaign and even the introduction of the Gay Pride Burger (a burger with two top or two bottom buns to celebrate ‘Pride Month’) have not been enough to stop the bankruptcy of some of their larger franchisees.

A few years ago I used to work in a building that had a BK right next door. The place was filthy, the frozen Coke machine rarely worked, and derelicts tended to frequent the place. Over the course of three years I think I actually ate there 2 or 3 times,  but eventually it was so disgusting 🤢 I stopped altogether.

Are there no inspections being carried out in the US? Over here restaurants are checked by the authorities in irregular intervals. I don't know about Burger King but McDonald's over here also sends their own inspectors to their franchises. I had a relative who worked there while being in uni and they were frequently checked upon by McDonald's inspectors.

And Subway closed over 500 shops last year, and has seen 6500 shops close since 2015.  :o

We have three branches of McDonalds in town. Burger King has just opened in what used to be a Pizza Hut. Not been yet, but prefer it to McDonalds if burger was the only option

Jalapenos and Angry sauce.  There was a version where the bun was red and had a very spicy kick to it.  So delicious!
