Weight loss company Jenny Craig is shutting down after 40 years.

Jenny Craig will close its doors after four decades in the weight loss and nutrition business, according to internal communications to employees reviewed by NBC News.
In an email sent to employees late Tuesday, the company said it will close “due to its inability to secure additional financing.” Jenny Craig corporate and salaried field employees' last day will be Friday, and hourly center employees’ last day working was Tuesday.

I thought of trying it before but those weight loss programs can get expensive unfortunately.

I remember Jenny Craig being popular in the 90's(maybe 1992-1994/1995) I think it was. We had a location in town about a 10-15 minute walk from my present house very recently. Didn't Jenny Craig used to air commercials sometimes on TV during the daytime Day Talk Show era of the 90's? I remember sitting home if school was closed if it there was a snowstorm and just walking talk shows all day.

Considering that she is 90 she'll probably relax and enjoy the rest of her life.
