The jury has rendered its verdicts in the most recent R Kelly trial in Illinois Federal Court.

R was only convicted on 6 of the 13 charges filed against him, less than half, including one charge of child porno 8-P. According to the article, persons convicted of that in Federal courts average a sentence of 23 years in the slam. :o
R is presently 55 years old, so if he gets the average 23 years in this case, on top of the 30 year sentence he received earlier this year in New York, he won’t be able to get out of jail until he’s 108. :-\\

Its sad how he ruined his career...... In the beggining his music was excellent!

A Federal judge just sentenced R to 20 years for the various charges, including child porn, for which he was convicted.

However the judge did not take this case seriously. The 20 years will be served CONCURRENTLY with R’s existing 30-year sentence… which means he essentially got off the hook for the federal charges.
