We all know why this decade is bad, so I won't even mention the c word. But this decade is still better than the 2010s. The music is WAY better, 2000s nostalgia is finally a mainstream thing, people value real-life interactions instead of taking it for granted in the 2010s while being consumed with phones and social media. It's one of those things you don't think you'll miss or value until it gets taken away from you. There's a lot to like about this decade. The 2010s were just too fake and unrelatable to me.

Correct! I don't know why people insist on trying to slip decadeogy in. Not only is it against the rules, it's a slippery slope. Which is WHY it's against the rules in the first place. It has no end, it just collapses in on itself in ever decreasing circles.

Decadeology would be more like saying "2022 is better than 2014" or some other random year, and then keep posting multiple similar topics changing the year around. Now if you were to say 2020's are better than the 2000's, then the 1990's, etc. then that might be pushing it.

Not correct. That's an ad hominem argument. I called your post decadology because it seemed like decadology to me, whether I was right or wrong. I do not particularly disagree with anything in your post. In fact I am rather indifferent to the differences between the 2000s and 2010s.

However, on a slightly off topic note, you DID prove my theory I posted over on the " Is the Nostalgia Ever Bearable?"  topic about the endless loops of nostalgia (what I call "the weight of history") and it's meaning to Millennial and post Millennial generations. It's kind of gray area with a loophole. The actual definition also adds the words "that have no bearing with each other". If you were to ask which is the best decade of the 21 century, then it becomes more legal/legit. I remember I got called out for decadeology for my poll topic about 2020 vs. 2021, but since they were two years that are side-by-side and the same decade, I didn't think that would be decadeology, kind of like those polls about which is your favorite year of a certain decade, but of course until 2022, there were only 2 years to choose from so far. 2020's and 2010's are side by side so that's why I didn't think it would be decadeology, since they do have some bearing with each other.

My opinion, 20s music is MUCH better than the early 10s.

Life wise, obviously the 2010's were better.
Culturally, the argument can definitely be made that the past 2 years have been better and more interesting than many part of the 2010's.
