This whole allegation is a fraud. There is iron-clad, documented, tangible proof that Bob Dylan was not in New York during the period the accuser specifies he took advantage of her in a New York apartment in 1965. He was out on tour with Joan Baez, he was in Los Angeles and he was in London. But he was not in New York. She's nuts. You must understand, Dylan attracts crazies like this. The world is full of people claiming to be his wife, his children, his siblings, his mother, his father, his girlfriend. And now, apparently, his victim. It's been going on for years.

Not to mention the lawyer she has representing her  is known as a sleaze and a deadbeat. Among other things he is currently in foreclosure on a $360K mortgage he co-signed with his ex-wife, who also recently filed a hardship letter to try to stop the foreclosure on the grounds that her deadbeat ex-husband has not been paying child support. He also got sued in 2001 and 2011 in foreclosure cases. Hardly the most reputable of lawyers. All this can be looked up online.

Is this was a few years ago this frivolous lawsuit would have been laughed off for the fraud it is. But you know the victim culture times we are in.  And the "victim" and the sleaze lawyer are trying to take advantage of that.

Reminds me of some of the Marilyn Manson accusations. I wouldn't be surprised if there was kink, even if aggressive, with some of the woman he's been with! Then they changed their stories years, or even decades, later! If Manson did hit, or sexually assault, a woman, even once, I do hope karma gets back at him, somehow! But, these woman, both from the Bob Dylan and Manson case, make it even harder for assaulted (physically and/or sexually) women to come out with their stories!  ::)

Thank goodness he has all these biographers who meticulously detailed his touring schedule during the 1960s, he was on the west coast and in Europe during the "supposed" grooming/sexual abuse accusation in New York City, I guess rapists can teleport though.

Every move Dylan has ever made for well over 50 years has been chronicled, dissected, discussed and written about endlessly by many of his die hard fans. I have been guilty of some of this myself. :-) Some people get carried away with it. But the depth and breadth and intellect of his work is such that it invites this type of study. Unfortunately, it also attracts  the lunatic fringe. There's a guy who famously used to go through his garbage when he lived in New York in the early 70s, and "analyze" the findings which included used baby diapers (Dylan had small children at the time), old coffee grounds  and dog excrement. The guy would come to all kinds of bizarre conclusions as a result of these "findings". He even coined the word "Dylanologist" for himself.  John Lennon's work, very unfortunately, also attracted the lunatic fringe.

You’d think the guy who was once the baby floating in the swimming pool on the cover of Nirvana’s “Nevermind” would be pretty happy about having a completely unearned place in pop culture history. Some people chase fame their whole lives; Spencer Elden got it in a 15-minute photo shoot when he was 4 months old, and can boast that he has the most iconic wiener since the formation of Oscar Mayer. How many guys are blessed with a better conversation starter? “Hello, ladies, bet you five bucks you’ve already seen my ding-dong.”

Spencer Elden is a useful illustration of a widely accepted principle: If you can’t get rich by hard work, talent or dumb luck, the next-best method is probably to start screaming out, “I’m a victim!” Victimhood is worth something. Sometimes it’s worth a lot.

Elden grew up in the one country on Earth where every doofus, liar and lowlife thinks he can get rich, and many of them turn out to be absolutely right.

His family was paid only $200 for the photo shoot (his dad was a friend of the photographer), and “Nevermind” earned enough money to rebuild Yankee Stadium out of caviar, so now Elden figures he’s entitled to a piece of the action. He’s claiming the “Nevermind” cover constituted child porn of which he was the unwitting victim. Using a federal law, he’s suing everybody from the record company to the band, hoping to extract $150,000 from all parties.

That photo isn’t porn, unless all pictures of naked babies are, and far from causing him “extreme and permanent emotional distress with physical manifestations, interference with his normal development and educational progress,” etc., he was happy to dine out on having been Nirvana Baby until about 10 seconds ago. In 2016, in a 25th anniversary recreation of the photo shoot, he even volunteered to do it naked again, before thinking better of the idea and posing in swim trunks.

Elden’s dumb lawsuit represents the nexus of three impulses in which America is the undisputed champion: the hunger for undeserved riches, moronic claims of victimhood and creative lawyering.
