Nope. The new ones use less fuel than regular jets. That's the whole point and reason for them coming back. Better for the environment as well.

That's one of them that shut down. Another company is planning to launch before 2030 though.

I don't know. But the other thread is about those jets taking you from downtown to downtown and that is slated to come out in 2025.

The most encouraging thing about this article is that United is planning to buy 15 of these jets instead of just one or two. One of the drawbacks of the Concorde that wasn't mentioned in the article was that only the wealthy could afford to travel on it.

I'm hoping that if United can get a whole fleet of these planes up in the air then supersonic travel could become more affordable for the middle class.
