Are they still seen as a no-go for men? I'm not talking big mushy Tom Selleck or Sam Elliot ones, but like this:

Mustaches are here to stay,
Several colours, including grey.
For many have handsome turn,
And others cause dire concern.
Keeping it trim, it always grows.
As long as it is under the nose.

When I started my office job in 1998, probably 9 out of 10 guys there had a mustache. Now it’s a lot of the same guys but only 1 keeps his mustache. I think it was around 2005 they started disappearing. I never had one, not my thing.

I had a mustache but then I decided to shave it off, haven't had one in 17 years.

Just like with other hair trends, I.e. the man bun, I feel like different forms of facial hair were a trend at different points. I don’t see a lot of mustaches today.
